The governed agent turn

Abstract

One turn of an agent asked to close the worst exposure path to a data store. It queries a graph and the choke point is computed; every tool call goes to the policy court; the one consequential act waits for a person; and a verification step, not the agent's own report, decides whether the task is done.

An agent is a worker with a job description: it can propose anything and decide nothing that matters.

Declared limits

  • The estate and the agent's plan are illustrative; no model runs here, the agent's proposals are fixed and the decisions about them are computed.
  • Generic and illustrative throughout: the behaviour is shown, the internals of the systems it is drawn from are not.
