Moving a tier between estates

Abstract

A portfolio tier moves from an established estate to a hub-and-spoke one through a fixed sequence. Each step names what it needs, the readiness gate wants a rehearsed way back and the owner's approval, and the old path closes only after someone independent signs the verification.

Build the new path before closing the old one, and keep the way back open until verification is signed.

Declared limits

  • The sequence is the shape of the practice, not a programme's runbook; no estate is named.
  • Generic and illustrative throughout: the behaviour is shown, the internals of the systems it is drawn from are not.
